Honey alternative

The smart Honey alternative.

AI price comparison that finds the same product for less. Live, verified prices across millions of stores worldwide. No paid placement, no advertising, no resale of your data.

Why people are still looking for a Honey alternative

People installed Honey for one reason. They wanted a small piece of software that quietly made sure they were not overpaying, without having to open ten tabs. After the affiliate credit controversy, the trust that powered that habit evaporated, and the search for a clean replacement has held at five to eight times its pre scandal levels through 2026.

The category never went away. The need for it never went away. What changed is that the original tool stopped feeling like it was on the shopper's side, and the obvious successors (Capital One Shopping, Rakuten, Coupert) lean on the same sponsored placements and stale cached prices that made shoppers wary in the first place.

FindPrices is the rebuild. It is the part of the Honey experience that was useful, redesigned from scratch as a real time AI price comparison tool rather than a coupon engine, with the data handling spelled out in plain English and an independent security audit behind it.

How FindPrices compares to the legacy tools

Compared to Honey

FindPrices compares prices live across millions of stores worldwide. Honey applied coupons only at the checkout of the retailer you were already on, so it never told you whether the item was cheaper elsewhere.

Compared to Capital One Shopping

FindPrices never promotes retailers that pay for placement. The lowest verified price wins, every time. Capital One Shopping mixes sponsored placements into its ranking, so the cheapest listing is not always at the top.

Compared to Rakuten and Coupert

FindPrices runs a fresh AI search on every query and verifies that each result is in stock right now. Rakuten and Coupert lean on cashback offers and cached prices, so the headline number is often out of date by the time you click.

Compared to Keepa and CamelCamelCamel

FindPrices works across the full retailer set, not Amazon alone. Useful if the cheaper listing is on Walmart, eBay, or a specialised retailer you would never have thought to check.

Compared to Faircado

FindPrices compares new prices in real time across the complete retailer list, not just the secondhand and refurbished market.

Compared to Google Shopping

FindPrices ranks by lowest verified live price, not by who bid most for the slot. Stock is checked before a result is shown, so dead listings are filtered out.

How it works

  1. Shop normally on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or any online store.
  2. FindPrices activates in the Chrome side panel when a cheaper alternative is detected, or any time you click the toolbar icon.
  3. The AI verifies each candidate live, confirms current stock, and factors in any available cashback.
  4. Purchase from the retailer with the best verified total. There are no sponsored nudges and no commission driven recommendations.

What FindPrices does not do

  • It does not track your general browsing. A small detector runs locally to recognise product pages, but page content is only transmitted when you actively scan.
  • It does not read cookies on other sites. Install attribution is handled through a first party iframe handoff on findprices.com.
  • It does not sell, rent, or share your browsing history with advertisers.
  • It does not show advertising inside the extension, and it does not send marketing email.
  • It does not request access to your passwords, payment data, or banking information.

Where the comparison data comes from

When you scan a product page, FindPrices sends the page details to a small set of AI search providers so they can identify the product and find live listings elsewhere. The providers are OpenAI, SerpAPI, Firecrawl, Perplexity, and Exa. Each is disclosed in the privacy policy and on the in product consent screen that appears before your first scan. If we add a new sub processor, signed in users are re prompted on the next scan.

If you would rather not share product page details with these providers, do not scan. The extension does nothing until you click Find prices, so it is genuinely opt in at the moment of use.

What you can expect to save

Internal data for 2025 indicates that the average FindPrices user saves around 214 dollars per year, while heavy users save 600 dollars or more annually. Individual results vary with what you buy and how often.

Frequently asked questions

Is FindPrices really a replacement for Honey?+
FindPrices does a different and more useful job. Honey applied coupon codes at one retailer's checkout. FindPrices runs a live AI price comparison across millions of stores worldwide and shows you where the same product is genuinely cheaper, with stock verified and cashback factored in. If your goal is to stop overpaying, FindPrices is the closer fit to what shoppers actually wanted from Honey.
How is FindPrices different from Capital One Shopping, Rakuten, or Coupert?+
Capital One Shopping, Rakuten, and Coupert lean heavily on sponsored retailer placements and cached prices. FindPrices ranks strictly by lowest verified live price. No retailer pays for a higher position, and the AI runs a fresh search on every query so the prices you see are the prices right now.
Is FindPrices free?+
Yes. Free to install and free to use. Free members get three searches per day. You can unlock more by inviting friends, all the way to unlimited. FindPrices may earn a small affiliate commission when you click through to a retailer, but it never changes the order of results or the price you pay.
Does FindPrices apply coupon codes at checkout?+
No. FindPrices is a price comparison tool, not a coupon engine. It looks for the same product at a lower price at other retailers, with cashback factored in, so the ranking shows the real out of pocket cost.
What data leaves my browser?+
Only when you actively click Find prices. At that point the page details are sent to our AI search providers (OpenAI, SerpAPI, Firecrawl, Perplexity, Exa) to identify the product and retrieve live retailer pricing. FindPrices does not track general browsing, does not read cookies on other sites, and does not sell or rent your data. Full details in the privacy policy.
Which retailers does FindPrices cover?+
Millions of stores worldwide. US: Australia, the UK, and more. US: Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, eBay, Newegg, B and H Photo, Macy's, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's, Wayfair. Australia: JB Hi Fi, The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, Big W, Kmart, Kogan, Catch, Officeworks, Bunnings. UK: Currys, Argos, John Lewis, Very, AO.com.
